On 2nd Thought - Cross Mission Trip Card

Today's On 2nd Thought (O2T) card is based on this Pintrest frame that I found via Michaels Store.  I thought the overall design was nice, but I am not one to make these types of home decor items.  Here is the pin if you would like to make the frame project.

Last year, you may remember I did this card for a friend going on a mission trip.  Well this time my friend's wife will be going on her first mission trip!  I wanted to send her my donation in a card along with some encouraging words just like I did for her husband last year. So I modified the above frame design to come up with this card.

Every 2nd Counts - Scraps to Embellishments

So I found this great shop online that sells unique scrapbook and card embellishments.  You can see below my pin on Pintrest and link directly to the shop.

So I started thinking that I could make these for my own use since I could tell that I had similar shaped punches.  So here is what I came up with in about 3 minutes just using scraps on my desk from an earlier project!  (Sorry for the messy glue!)

I think I am going to try to make a habit of making my own embellishments out of my scraps so I can pull them out later when I need something small to dress up a project.  The process was fun too, since I am in a creative slump it was nice to throw some items together with no real plan.
